Michelin Simulation Services
Michelin group now has a complete and rich portfolio in the simulation domain. Up until now we have supported our partners in the automotive industry, trucking and off-road domains with Magic Formulae models and the TameTire model. With Canopy we can now offer you the best lap time simulation, chassis set up and tire optimizer on the market.
This is only the beginning of the story.
Our ultimate goal is to develop and commercialize further innovative cloud simulation and offline suites. The benefits to you will be the ability to optimize the vehicle design before prototyping, and achieve better vehicle set up before racing. It can also enable you to better understand your products, save time and energy, and be more sustainable.
TameTire
TameTire can provide an accurate description of the transient mechanical and thermal behavior of a tire. It calculates the forces and moments acting on the tire under pure and combined slip conditions and according to the tire operating conditions.
TameTire can be used in a full vehicle dynamic simulation within off-line simulation environments as well as within driver/hardware in the loop environments.
Canopy
The Canopy platform provides lap time simulation, vehicle modelling and setup exploration in record time, using the power of cloud computing and our proprietary collocation solver.
We also provide the same state-of-the-art vehicle model used by our motorsport simulations to customers for use in their driver-in-the-loop simulators. Our platform can also have other applications, such as in the design and optimisation of sailing boats.
MICHELIN SIMIX ENGINEERING
Efficient simulation made easy with quality datasets
Simulation is the key to efficiency in chassis development. But, it is only as good as the datasets used as input of the simulation chain. With Michelin SIMIX, access a wide range of powerful simulation datasets: Vehicle, Tires and Chassis components in one place, validated by Michelin chassis experts.
